Eddie Orozco

Eddie has over 15 years of experience working on a wide range of U.S. and non-U.S. tax matters. His experience includes over 10 years at a nationally-recognized tax firm where he gained invaluable experience working on complex tax returns, transactions and tax planning matters for the firm’s high-net-worth and business tax clients.

Eddie has a versatile skillset that he developed working with a broad spectrum of clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals and their families, small and mid-sized businesses, taxpayers with various international tax issues, high-profile entertainment figures and professional athletes, and tax practices with a need for outside expertise on complex tax matters.

Eddie is a key technical resource for Miller Ward Aziz in multiple practice areas including:

• Complex income tax return filings for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and S corporations
• Estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning and compliance matters, including post-death reporting related to disclaimers, portability and other estate tax elections, deceased spouse unused exclusions (DSUEs), income tax basis adjustments, and other post-death administration matters
• M&A transactions and pre-transaction planning for businesses owners
• International tax planning and compliance matters including pre-immigration planning, investment in U.S. real estate by non-U.S. persons, international tax withholding issues, U.S. tax reporting of ownership interests in and transfers to foreign business entities (corporations, partnerships, disregarded entities) and foreign trusts

In his spare time Eddie likes to relax by spending time with family and close friends. He is also an avid reader and enjoys running long distances without headphones.
